More Mumbai

Ok, so enough of the good part. It is time for some reality check. At Deloitte, there is this culture that whoever goes home should bring one of the local delicacies from there. To makhanmaro the manager, I bought a separate box for him too. He showed me the attitude as if I am shoving some stale slurry up his you know what where as the whole team had appreciated it. I had got the same response when I emptied my coffers of candies which mom had packed along as, ‘koi mazak thodi na hai, bacha bahar ja raha hai (its not a joke, the kid is going out). I had criticized Vijit for being too frank on his blog whereas I am doing the same now. Differences had to come up now. I hate the place I have shifted into now. The other option was in Andheri, near the lake, opposite a park and on the main road in a locality which had full occupancy. This one is in a standalone 14 storey monolith in the industrial area and the road to it would soon make me eligible for long jump trials as that is what we have to do as the flood waters form the swamp in front goes into the drain through the road. I was in a depression as I had not seen a single decent girl for 3 days.

I didn’t want there to be any difference so took DCE’s (Akshay) cue as all 3 of us (including Pavit) in different locations won’t have been good. I had made a special request for the Andheri place through my cousin and even convinced them to take in both of us. DCE thinks he is an oversmart guy. I would surely invite him to read this. He thinks that attending enterpreneurship , leadership seminars would make him one and the sad part is that no matter how useless it is, it would look wonderful on the CV.

My fury had to be unleashed on him as one day I troubled him by telling that a big rat had entered his almirah. For an hour and a half, I moulded the story quite nicely, how his suit got damaged, how one of the rats got into the AC and how suddenly from nowhere, there came another one. I Have also posted rather funny sleeping pics of him on facebook, tagged his friends on it and grabbed his admit card which has a B/W picture of his with his beloved moustache which too would make its way to facebook. Then on the next day, he boasted that his 6th sense would let him know if anyone takes his keys which were dangling outside his bag. Pavit took it and he went back to office to look for it and was furious when after an hour we returned it as by the time he had visited a couple of shops too, to inquire for it. We have also made a video of his losing 21-2 to me in table tennis. I have been brutally honest with everybody and he is getting mails sent from some relative in US office to the members here to increase his networking. I also hate him as he has no response to the wonderful pics of girls I show to him on facebook which are a result of hours and hours of search (bad addiction). I am sick of seeing no people around at a stage when I am obviously missing my family.

I sleep in the common room as my partner has the habit of sleeping diagonally, making the bed vibrate through his snoring which eventually helped me get up a couple of days back . The maid here is too much fun as she pours all resources in what she makes for Ashish, who takes care of the expenses initially as we are way too lazy to take the pain before sharing the expenses through a wonderful site by the name expensure. She washes clothes, this is a fact but they are cleansed is a myth. She adds as much garlic to the food as there should be onion. Well, that too seems a luxury as now no food is cooked as the groceries are out of stock and none of us is willing to take the initiative of getting it from the market. Had this been at home, it would have made its way straight to the dustbin.

I am making wrong decisions as have stopped planning and using instincts so the decision made seems wrong after some time. The best thing is to procrastinate till I am left with straightforward choices. Here I am wasting time on this post and just yesterday got the news that all MBA exams are being prescheduled. So I have this intern, Commonwealth training, the games itself, midsems, placements before it. Due to special request, this post has been trimmed so rest of the stuff in next part.
